Médaille conservée dans un écrin en carton bordeaux, un peu abîmé, de la monnaie de Paris.
La Convention nationale est un régime politique français qui gouverna la France du 21 septembre 1792 au 26 octobre 1795 lors de la Révolution française.
Elle succéda à l’Assemblée législative et fonda la Première République. Elle fut élue, pour la première fois en France, au suffrage universel masculin afin de donner une nouvelle constitution à la France, rendue nécessaire par la déchéance de Louis XVI lors de la journée du 10 août 1792..

The National Convention was a French political regime that governed France from September 21, 1792, to October 26, 1795, during the French Revolution. It succeeded the Legislative Assembly and founded the First Republic. It was elected, for the first time in France, by universal male suffrage in order to give France a new constitution, made necessary by the deposition of Louis XVI on August 10, 1792.

The Fifth Republic, whose constitution was approved by referendum on September 28, 1958 by more than 79% of French people, only officially began with the installation of General de Gaulle as president on January 8, 1959. The constitution was amended on January 28, 1958. October 1962 by referendum where a majority of 62% of votes approves the election of the President of the Republic by direct universal suffrage.
