Interesting medal signed by Mathieu, a French painter considered one of the fathers of lyrical abstraction. He is also famous for his 1974 ten-franc coin, his 1975 Antenne 2 logo, and his postage stamps. It is in its original leather case from the Paris Mint, and awarded to Mr. André de Lattre, Deputy Governor of the Bank of France (as indicated on the case).
