Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un flan ovale et irrégulier, parfaitement centré des deux côtés, légèrement éclaté sur la tranche. Joli droit bien venu à la frappe. Magnifique revers de haut relief. Très jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Célenderis, an important coastal city of Cilicia Trachea, located halfway between Nagidos and Aphrodisias, is said to have been founded by Sandokos. It was then colonized by the Samians. Its Persian standard coinage began in the middle of the 5th century and lasted until the arrival of Alexander the Great in Asia Minor..
