Cette pièce chinoise porte un petit papier rouge avec le caractère du « double bonheur », un symbole traditionnel chinois lié aux mariages. Au début du XXᵉ siècle, on collait parfois ce papier directement sur des pièces en argent offertes comme cadeaux de mariage..
This Chinese coin bears a small red paper with the character for \\\"double happiness,\\\" a traditional Chinese symbol associated with marriage. In the early 20th century, this paper was sometimes glued directly onto silver coins given as wedding gifts.
