Jiangnan is a geographical region close to Shanghai in the People's Republic of China. Mainly agricultural, it has many villages crossed by rivers and small canals. The oldest, such as Zhouzhu;ang or Suzhou, are over 2500 years old. Wu culture dominates Jiangnan.
