Ce denier est frappé sur un flan large et légèrement irrégulier. Exemplaire présentant quelques faiblesses de frappe au niveau des légendes du revers et sur lequel la croix du revers apparaît légèrement en négatif au droit

Obverse description : Tête bléso-chartraine à droite entre deux croisettes, l'œil formé par un croissant, les pointes vers le haut au-dessous d’un point.

Commentary

Un tel denier avec l’œil en forme de croissant dirigé avec les pointes vers le haut est réputé unique d’après un exemplaire qui était contenu dans le trésor de Fécamp (n° 6921) présumé avoir été enfoui vers 980. Il s’agirait du deuxième exemplaire connu et le seul disponible sur le marché numismatique.
