Obverse description : Tête bléso-chartraine à droite entre une croisette et une S couchée, l'œil formé d'un annelet ; le menton formé d'un epsilon renversé. Les cheveux sont symbolisés par cinq petits triangles renversés.

Reverse description : Croix cantonnée au 2 d'un annelet, au 4 d’une S.

(1102-1151)

Dominique Legros thinks that the viscounty of Châteaudun was under the influence of the counts of Blois and Chartres. Under Thibaut IV the Great, three viscounts succeeded each other in Châteaudun: Hugues III (1079-1110), Geoffroy III (1110-1136) and Hugues IV (1136-1166). The coin became Viscount in 1218 under Geoffroy V (1215-1235).
