Denier frappé sur un flan large et irrégulier. Présence de faiblesse de frappe sur les deux faces. Monnaie ayant été nettoyé et présentant quelques hairlines dans les champs de l’avers

Commentary

Un tel denier avec l’œil en forme d’oméga et entre deux croix est particulièrement rare. Dominique Legros lui assigne à juste titre un indice de rareté R5. De tels deniers étaient présents dans le trésor de Saumur enfoui vers 1028-1030.
Such a denarius with the eye in the shape of an omega and between two crosses is particularly rare. Dominique Legros rightly assigns it a rarity index of R5. Such denarii were present in the Saumur treasure buried around 1028-1030.
