(975/8-996)

Eudes I, Count of Blois and Chartres, succeeded Thibaut I the Cheat (957/960-975/978). He seized the county of Dreux and had to fight against Hugues Capet. At his death, his inheritance was divided between his sons Thibaut II (996-1004), count of Chartres and Eudes II, count of Blois (996-1004), then of Chartres (1004-1037).
