In 1263, Jean de Châtillon, gave as a dowry to his daughter Jeanne, the county of Chartres; he however kept the administration until his death which occurred in 1279. In 1286, Jeanne ceded the county of Chartres to Philippe le Bel against an annuity of 3000 pounds and kept that of Blois until 1292, the year of his death..
