In France, a chamber of trades and crafts is a consular chamber responsible for issues of interest to crafts in France. These chambers ensure, for craftsmen, apprentices and professional organizations of the crafts, a mission of training, advice, registration of companies and lobbying with the public authorities. Established by the law of July 26, 1925 under the name of chambers of trades, they bear their current name of chambers of trades and crafts since the publication of decree no. 2004-1164 of November 2, 2004 (Cf. Wikipedia).
