Coments on the condition:
Monnaie dans un état exceptionnelle pour le type, avec l’étoile bien visible au revers et un joli portrait au droit. Une petite faiblesse au-dessus du lion. Patine marron-gris

Commentary
Ce type de drachme, repris dans le LA TOUR sous les n° 2254 et 2255, manque au Nouvel Atlas. Ces monnaies devraient trouver leur place dans la série 1016 “types associés ou dérivés” de Bridiers, et plus particulièrement “type I dérivé du type au lion”. Si le prototype est la drachme lourde de Marseille, le poids et le traitement du lion rapprochent ces monnaies de l’ensemble de Bridiers.
Leur circulation serait plutôt localisée au centre-ouest qu'au sud-est ! D. Nash reprend d’ailleurs fort justement les deux monnaies de la BN (2254 et 2255) dans son étude.
