Commentary

La propagande de Louis-Philippe chercha toujours à s’aider de l’image de l’Empereur. Ce jeton faisait probablement partie d’une boîte de jeu et il serait intéressant de voir si ce jeu avait été suscité par les services du roi. À noter, l’axe irrégulier et la fabrication laissent penser à une production étrangère, certainement allemande.

This token was probably part of a game box, and it would be interesting to see if this game had been inspired by the king's services.
