Exemplaire sur un flan très large, ovale et irrégulier avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau portrait adolescent de Caracalla. Joli revers de style fin, bien venu à la frappe. Une fine patine grise recouvre l’exemplaire avec des reflets dorés

Commentary

Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges fines visibles sous le paludamentum. Ce type est en fait plus rare que ne laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux.

Augustus with Septimius Severus

Caracalla was named Augustus in April 198 before the great Parthian victory.
