Co-emperor with Geta (4/02/211-26/02/212)

Septimius Severus died at York on 4 February 211. Caracalla and Geta hastened down operations in Britain and make an uneasy peace with the rebel tribes. They brought the ashes of Severus in Rome, where they arrived on May 4 But the agreement between Caracalla Geta was short and Caracalla eventually murder his brother in his mother's arms after accusing him of wanting to conspire against him. Geta was dedicated to "Memoriae damnatio". Papinian, the praetorian prefect, the son of Pertinax and twenty thousand supporters of Geta were liquidated. Caracalla was alone august.
