Obverse translation : “Antoninus Pius Augustus Britannicus”, (Antonin pieux auguste britannique).


Reverse legend : P M TR P XVI IMP II COS IIII P P// SC.
Reverse description : Caracalla dans un quadrige au pas à droite, tenant un sceptre surmonté d'un aigle, et couronné par une Victoire debout derrière lui.
Reverse translation : “Pontifex Maximus Tribunicia Potestate sextum decimum Imperator iterum Consul quartum Pater Patriæ”, (Grand pontife revêtu de la seizième puissance tribunitienne et de la deuxième acclamation impériale consul pour la quatrième fois père de la patrie).

The following year, he began a campaign in Germany and won many victories over the Germans, and the Goths Iapyges. He received the title of "Germanicus". The end of the reign was marked by 215 monetary reform and the creation of the Antoninianus. Caracalla began a final campaign against the Parthians. He was assassinated after celebrating his vicennalia.
