Exemplaire sur un petit flan bien centré des deux côtés, complet. Belle tête du roi, bien venue à la frappe. Joli revers de style fin de frappe un peu molle. Belle patine avec des reflets dorés

Ariarathes V, son of Ariarathes IV Eusebes succeeded his father in 163 BC He had to face several competitors during his reign, including Orophernes supported by Demetrius I of Syria. Ariarathes was restored with the help of the Romans. He died in 130 BC fighting against Aristonikos of Pergamon. Under his reign, the kingdom of Cappadocia allied with the Romans and the kingdom of Pergame reached its peak. The name of the capital changes to become Eusebeia.
