Historical background

(Ve - fourth century BC)

The Hyria (Orra) workshop is not actually identified. The authors are the people and the city that is dedicated to them in Campania between Naples and Capua. It could be located at the mouth of the Sarno. Important links seem to exist with the city of Nola, but the two cities are nevertheless different entities.
