Commentary

Mêmes coins que les exemplaires du British Museum (BMC. 29) et que l’exemplaire du musée de Copenhague (Cop. 364). Nous notons au droit une détérioration du coin avec une cassure de coin qui est visible au-dessus du nez.

(5th - 4th century BC)

Cumae, a Greek colony founded by inhabitants of Chalkidiki and Eretria is located on the western coast of Campania. She had to face the attacks of the Etruscans in 524 before J. - C., then of Hiéron of Syracuse in 474 before J. - C. The city was conquered by the Samnites in 423 before J. - C. The city obtained the right Latin around 180 BC.
