Historical background

CAMPANIA - HYRIA

(5th - 4th century BC)

The workshop of Hyria (Orra) is not really identified. The authors place this people and the city dedicated to them in Campania between Naples and Capua. It could be located at the mouth of the Sarno. Important links seem to exist with the city of Nola, but the two cities are nevertheless different entities.
