Exemplaire sur un petit flan légèrement bombé, bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau portrait d’Apollon. Revers de style fin. Magnifique patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés. Conserve une partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Reverse translation : “Caius Piso Lucii Filius Frugi”, (Caius Piso fils de Lucius Frugi).

Caius Calpurnius Piso married the daughter of Cicero in 63, the year of the consulate of the great orator. He became praetor in 58 BC In 67 BC, another member of the gens Calpurnia was consul, Gaius Calpurnius Piso together with Marcus Acilio Glabrio.
