Exemplaire sur un flan large, ovale et irrégulier, légèrement décentré au revers. Frappe molle au droite. Taché sur le bouclier. Joli revers, inhabituel avec l’épi dans le champ du revers. Jolie patine au revers avec des reflets dorés

Pyrrhus strategos, King of Epirus

After the "victory" at Ascoli in 279 BC, Pyrrhus, who failed to secure a decisive victory over the Romans, became angry with his Greek and Syracusan allies and was finally defeated at Benevento in 275 BC. J.-C. He retired to Epirus where he was quickly assassinated.
