Coments on the condition:
Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale, bien centré au droit, un peu court au revers sur Héraklès. Joli tête d’Athéna. Revers de style fin. Belle patine de collection ancienne

Obverse description : Tête d'Athéna (Minerve) à droite, coiffée du casque attique à cimier orné d’un skylla (monstre marin).

Reverse description : Héraklès (Hercule) debout à droite, étranglant le lion de Némée; massue dans le champ à gauche, posée verticalement ; lettre entre les jambes d’Héraklès.

Commentary


Hybride associant un droit d’un type (V. 1384) et un revers de l’autre (. 1368). Sur cet exemplaire, au revers,la musculature d’Héraklès est bien détaillée. Cette émission est bien ciblée avec la lettre (C) entre les jambes d’Héraklès qui semble regravée sur un phi.
