Historical background
CADURQUES - UNSPECIFIED
2nd-1st century BC. J.-C.
The obols to the horse are mentioned from the 19th century, with the LA TOUR and the Treaty of A. Blanket. The latter rather attributed them to the Cadurci. According to G. Savès, this coinage would seem to belong rather to the Nitiobroges. "Indeed the finding of seven obols with three coins of the Belvès type and a silver coin of the Pétrocores in the cave of Rouffignac by MA Barrière seems to prove it, as would confirm it by the arrangement of the hair in separate ovoid locks as it This is the case with the coins from Belvès. to the left.".
