Les légendes sont complètes, ce qui est surtout intéressant pour celle du revers qui est fragmentaire sur la plupart des exemplaires publiés. D’ailleurs, aucun autre triens ne semble avoir cette légende de revers, sans le C initial de CHAIDVLFVS . Prou consacre six numéros pour le monnayage de Brion (n° 2278-2284). Tous ont la légende BRIONNO au droit. Pour les revers, le premier a CHAIDVLFVS, les quatre suivants ont des légendes variant autour de LEO MONITAR et le dernier porte le nom du monétaire LEVDIGISIL. Sur les monnaies du Belfort attribuées à BRIONNO (n° 951-952) qui correspondent à notre monnayeur, la légende du revers est lue CHA.VLFVS, mais ces deux exemplaires sont frappés sur flans courts et la légende y est partiellement hors flan. Une autre monnaie, frappée à Chemillé (CAMILIACVS) dans l'Indre-et-Loire est signée au revers par un certain CHADVLFVS. Ces deux villes sont situées à environ 210 km l'une de l'autre ; s'agit-il d'un même monnayeur itinérant ?.
The legends are complete, which is especially interesting for the reverse one, which is fragmentary on most published examples.
