Commentary

Voir Artillerie F.975 (Henri Allon, comte du Lude) et F.8252 de 1700 pour Fleuriau d'Armenonville. Le seul jeton référencé avec cette légende dans le Corre est sans rapport avec notre exemplaire, même s’il en partage le revers. Celui-ci a manifestement été utilisé à plusieurs reprises pour des jetons frappés à l’occasion de mariages.
See Artillery F.975 (Henri Allon, Count of Lude) and F.8252 of 1700 for Fleuriau d'Armenonville. The only token referenced with this legend in the Corre is unrelated to our example, even if it shares the reverse. This one was clearly used several times for tokens struck on the occasion of weddings
