Ce pieter d’or est frappé sur un flan large et irrégulier. De petites faiblesses de frappe sur les motifs centraux mais un très bel exemplaire

Obverse legend : + WENCELAVSX ZX IOH’ANAX - X DEIX GRAX BRAB'X DVCES, (PONCTUATION PAR DEUX SAUTOIRS SUPERPOSÉS).
Obverse description : Buste nimbé de saint Pierre tenant les évangiles de sa main droite, les clefs du paradis de sa main gauche, le tout dans un polylobe orné de trèfles et coupé à la base par un écu écartelé aux 1 et 4 de Bohême, au 2 de Brabant, au 3 de Luxembourg.
Obverse translation : (Wenceslas et Jeanne, par la grâce de Dieu, ducs de Brabant).

(1355-1383)

Jeanne de Brabant (+1406) is the daughter of Duke Jean III (1312-1355). She married Wenceslas in 1352 (1337-1383) who was the son of John the Blind, Duke of Luxembourg (1354-1383), and became Duke of Brabant jointly with her from 1355 to 1383. She administered the duchy until his death in 1406.
