Grâce aux précieuses informations de Monsieur B. Poulain, nous pouvons ajouter les informations suivantes : “Charles de Trudaine était Seigneur de Montigny (Montigny-Lencoup en Seine et Marne). Il fut intendant de Bourgogne en 1710 pour quelques années. François Chartraire de Montigny (Côte d'Or), Lieutenant Général de Semur en Auxois (15 km de Montigny), et Trésorier Général des Etats en eut au moins cinq à ses armes (il était Comte de Bierre-(les-Semur et de Montigny d'où une Couronne Comtale) et un jeton avec une Couronne de Marquis (dont on peut se demander à quel Marquisat elle fait allusion.). Si toutefois il est certain qu’il a été frappé pour un membre de la famille Chartraire, on ne peu pas garantir que ce soit pour François de Chartraire, même si c’est effectivement le plus probable”.
