Voici ce qu’il en dit : “Dans cette période, le blason de la Bourgogne existe toujours, il affecte même plus d'ampleur et de beauté ; sa forme est généralement ovale, mais au revers les devises de la triennalité sont remplacées par l'effigie du roi. Seulement, le costume du monarque fait allusion aux événements”.
