Commentary

Nous sommes en présence de l’un des premières monnaies féodales de Blois avec une tête qui n’est pas encore stylisée. Sa présence dans le trésor du Loiret, révélé dans les années 1970, permet de dater son apparition vers 960 ou peu avant. Des monnaies plus tardives ont été publiée par François Dumas dans l’étude du trésor de Fécamp enfoui vers 980.
