Bronze frappé sur un flan presque quadrangulaire. Patine chocolat. Faiblesse de frappe sur le droit, avec trois petites piqûres dans le métal. Revers bien conservé et très intéressant

Reverse description : Cheval bondissant à droite, retournant la tête en arrière ; appendice sexuel extrêmement hypertrophié et enroulé. Grènetis.

Commentary

Ce bronze est toujours très rare. L'exemplaire passé dans MONNAIES XV a été vendu 245 € sur une offre maximum à 275 €. Sur cet exemplaire, le sexe hypertrophié du cheval est incroyable ; il rappelle le symbole du denier "au lituus" (cf. MONNAIES XV, n° 398) attribué aux Bituriges.
This bronze is still very rare. The example shown in COINS XV was sold for €245 out of a maximum bid of €275. On this example, the horse's enlarged penis is incredible; it recalls the symbol of the denarius \\\"au lituus\\\" (see COINS XV, no. 398) attributed to the Bituriges
