Commentary

L’opération Bragation est une offensive soviétique qui, du 22 juin au 19 août 1944, défait et détruit le groupe d’armées centre allemand. Cette opération libère la Biélorussie et ouvre à l’Armée Rouge la route de la Pologne et de Berlin.
Constantin Rokossovski est victime des grandes purges en 1937. Joukov le fera sortir de prison en 1940.

Operation Bragation was a Soviet offensive that, from June 22 to August 19, 1944, defeated and destroyed the German Army Group Center. This operation liberated Belarus and opened the road to Poland and Berlin for the Red Army. Konstantin Rokossovsky was a victim of the Great Purge in 1937. Zhukov freed him from prison in 1940.
