Ce type fut frappé pendant la très courte période entre 387 et 375 avant J.-C. pendant laquelle Tanagra recouvra son indépendance monétaire et s’émancipa de la tutelle thébaine. Pour ce monnayage avec le bouclier béotien au droit et un protomé ou une tête de cheval au revers, nous avons le statère, l’obole, l’hémiobole et le tartémorion d’étalon éginétique.
