Commentary


Il s’agit d’une épreuve d’un type non adopté de 10 Francs. Une épreuve avec petite tête existe aussi. Une monnaie similaire à cet exemplaire a déjà été proposée dans la vente de la Collection du Chanoine Léon Matagne par la Maison Palombo. D’après la Maison Palombo, il existerait uniquement une douzaine d’exemplaires.

Baudouin (7/09/1930-31/07/1993) is the eldest son of Leopold III and Astrid of Sweden. He was deported in 1944 with his father and delivered by the Americans. Appointed Prince Royal of Belgium on August 3, 1950, he became King of the Belgians on July 17, 1951, after the abdication of his father. Married in 1960 to Fabiola, childless, his brother Albert succeeded him in 1993.
