Superbe médaille en excellent état, mais avec deux marques de fer sur la tranche, restes d’une monture ancienne. La médaille semble d’ailleurs elle-même cerclé par un anneau métallique doré plus large

Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, le plus souvent dénommée Saint-Josse, est l'une des dix-neuf communes de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale. Cette commune a été créée en 1795 après la dissolution de la Cuve de Bruxelles dont elle faisait partie, et elle reçoit sa première organisation communale en 1796 avec comme agent municipal André-Étienne-Joseph O'Kelly qui prend le titre de maire à partir de 1800. This municipality was created in 1795 after the dissolution of the Brussels Cuve of which it was a member, and it received its first municipal organization in 1796 with André-Étienne-Joseph O'Kelly as municipal agent, who took the title of mayor from 1800. It borders the municipalities of Brussels-city and Schaerbeek. The municipality is named in honor of Saint Josse, a Breton monk.

Leopold II (9/04/1835-17/12/1909) is the eldest son of Leopold I and Louise d'Orléans. He married Marie-Henriette, Archduchess of Austria, who bore him three daughters: Louise, Stéphanie, and Clémentine. He relied on England to repel the aims of Napoleon III in 1866-1869. His reign was marked by the economic and industrial development of Belgium, which also became a great colonial power thanks to the personal annexation of the Congo by the king at the Congress of Berlin in 1885. Without a male heir, his nephew Albert I succeeded him. in 1909. He bequeathed the Congo to Belgium in 1908.
