Patine hétérogène avec des traces d’usure, quelques coups et rayures. Présence de taches d’oxydation. Percée à 12 heures

Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Obverse description : Dans un cercle, deux anges : celui de gauche tient une lyre de la main gauche, celui de droite place une couronne sur la lyre de sa main gauche. Au-dessus, une étoile rayonnante. La forme générale évoque un instrument de musique du style d'une lyre : le dessus et le dessous du cercle évoquent des cordes.

Reverse legend : OOSTENDE - OSTENDE // XXXV.E / FESTIVAL / (FLEUR) // 1926.
Reverse description : La légende en 4 lignes -la première est courbe- dans un cercle. Au-dessus et au-dessous, même évocation des cordes d'un instrument de musique qu'à l'avers.

BELGIUM - KINGDOM OF BELGIUM - ALBERT I

(17/12/1909-17/12/1934)

Albert I (8/04/1875-17/02/1934) succeeded his uncle Leopold II in 1909. He had married Elisabeth of Bavaria in 1900 (1876-1965). During the First World War, he commanded the Belgian army and shared the fate of the soldiers, which earned him the title of "knight king". The Treaty of Versailles in 1919 gave him the territories of Eupen and Malmédy. He died in a climbing accident in Marche-les-Dames. His son Leopold III succeeded him.
