Commentary

- frappe monnaie
- alternée lisse et cannelée (5 séries de 19 cannelures)
- non-magnétique
- poids de 8,55 g. et diamètre de 25,75 mm*
- diamètre de l’insert 18 mm.
The information we currently have indicates the existence of two different types of test strikes for Euros carried out at Pessac, the first and the adopted one. Many other intermediate tests are known but a complete referencing is not yet possible. The characteristics of the proposed 2 Euro test (probably type 2) are as follows: - coin strike - alternating smooth and fluted (5 series of 19 flutes) - non-magnetic - weight of 8.55 g and diameter of 25.75 mm* - insert diameter 18 mm
