Reverse description : Écu écartelé, orné de cuirs, avec sur le tout un petit écu de Tyrol, sommé d'une couronne coupant la légende en haut ; à la base de l’écu, deux petits écus brochant chacun sur une crosse, le tout sous une mitre épiscopale.

AUSTRIA - COUNTY OF TYROL - MAXIMILIAN OF AUSTRIA

(1612-02/11/1618)

Maximilien, son of Maximilien II (1564-1576) and Marie of Spain (1528-1603), was born on October 12, 1558 in Neustdat. He is notably the brother of the emperors Rudolf II and Mathias, and brother-in-law of Philip II of Spain. He was appointed Grand Master of the Teutonic Order between 1585 and 1590. He died in Vienna on November 2, 1618.
