Un concours a été lancé dans les écoles autrichiennes auprès d’enfants de 9-10 ans pour qu’ils dessinent leur province. Le dessin gagnant est reproduit sur l’avers de chaque pièce.
Le revers de chaque pièce est illustré par un monument autrichien remarquable classé au Patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco.
Le concours pour la deuxième pièce de la série a été remporté par un jeune autrichien, Philip Ogris, qui a mis en avant le multi-culturalisme de cette province, proche de la Slovénie.
