Léopold Antoine Eleutherius succeeded Franz Antoine who died on July 18, 1727. Before being elected archbishop, he was bishop of Lavant and Seckau. During his episcopate, he participated in the beautification of Salzburg and he completed the construction of the castle of Leopoldskron built for his family. He died on October 22, 1744. Jacques Ernest de Lichtenstein succeeded him on January 13, 1745.
