Cette dénomination de bronzes lourd est typique de l'aire géographique Lexoviens / Aulerques Eburovices ; ces “as” sont cependant largement minoritaires par rapports aux bronzes frappés plus classiques de ces peuples.
This denomination of heavy bronzes is typical of the Lexovian / Aulerci Eburovices geographical area; these “aces” are however largely in the minority compared to the more classic struck bronzes of these peoples

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)

(2nd - 1st century BC)

The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
