Coments on the condition:
Patine sombre et brillante, avec des reflets verts et rougeâtres. Le droit comme le revers sont parfaitement identifiables, mais les reliefs sont assez mal venus

Commentary


Sur cet exemplaire, la croisette est assez difficilement visible entre les pattes du sanglier. Ce potin manque au Nouvel Atlas alors qu’il figure dans le catalogue du musée d’Evreux.

Aulerci Eburovices (Region of Evreux)

(Second - first century BC)

The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Eburovices. The territory of Aulerci Eburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are mentioned several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to him, they would have killed their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 AD and have joined the rebels and Unelles Lexovii.
