Très bel exemplaire particulièrement net au droit, mais un peu plus mou au revers. Patine sombre et brillante

Commentary
Il est assez peu commun d’avoir un potin de ce type avec un avers dans un tel état de conservation ! Ces potins sont souvent coulés de façon assez peu soignée et les flans trop courts....

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
