Petit flan, mais avec un droit complet et bien net alors que le revers est un peu plus plat et légèrement piqué. Patine gris foncé

Commentary
Ce potin est excessivement rare et était encore inconnu il y a moins d'un an. Seulement deux exemplaires sont répertoriés ; celui qui illustrera les planches complémentaires du Patat (conservé en collection privée) et cet exemplaire qui provient de sa collection.

Historical background
GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(3rd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
