Flan légèrement bombé, un peu court. Agréable revers complet. Patine verte et marron, écaillée sur la tranche

Obverse description : Tête humaine stylisée à droite, les cheveux figurés par trois lignes ; un petit sanglier suspendu à la joue ; derrière la tête, un annelet centré.

Reverse description : Cheval stylisé bondissant à droite ; un oiseau, corbeau au-dessus du cheval, encadré par deux annelets centrés ; sous le cheval, un sanglier tourné à droite.
Commentary
Sur cet exemplaire, au revers, l’oiseau est stylisé. Les ailes sont représentées par un demi cercle aux extrémités annelées et bouletées.

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(3rd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
