Aulerci Eburovices (Region of Evreux)
(Second - first century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Eburovices. The territory of Aulerci Eburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are mentioned several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to him, they would have killed their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 AD and have joined the rebels and Unelles Lexovii. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the army of relief. Caesar (Bg. (II, 34, III, 17, 29, VII, 4, 75, VIII, 7) Kruta: 72..
