Très bel exemplaire, frappé sur un flan irrégulier et cassé. Patine marron. Très légères piqûres ou frappé avec des coins rouillés

Commentary

Ce bronze extrêmement rare semble être le deuxième connu après celui de la vente Albuquerque en 1989. Il manque au musée d'Evreux et à tous les autres musées, y compris la BN. Il constituerait la seconde classe du monnayage EPPVDVNO BRANO, connue seulement depuis 1988. Pour B. Fischer, il ne s’agit que d’une “variante”.
This extremely rare bronze seems to be the second known after that of the Albuquerque sale in 1989. It is missing from the Evreux museum and from all other museums, including the BN. It would constitute the second class of the EPPVDVNO BRANO coinage, known only since 1988. For B. Fischer, it is only a “variant”
