Monnaie sur un flan large et épais. Avers un peu mou mais complet. Revers de frappe plus vigoureuse, mais avec un léger plat derrière le sanglier. Patine vert foncé

Commentary
La rouelle du revers est assez nette sur cet exemplaire, avec la double ligne ondulée à l’exergue. Au droit la croisette bouletée est bien visible au-dessus des animaux.

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(3rd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
