Obverse description : Reste de tête humaine à droite dont il ne subsiste que la couronne transversale, des croissants et un petit sanglier enseigne.


Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Cheval à encolure fourchue galopant à droite ; entre les jambes, un annelet cerclé et globulé ; au-dessus du cheval, un annelet centré et un rinceau aux extrémités bouletées.


Le droit est inspiré par le monnayage belge des Suessions comme le faisait déjà remarquer S. Scheers en 1970. Les auteurs du DT le classent dans la série des “bronzes dérivés de séries en or”.

Aulerci Eburovices (Region of Evreux)

The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Eburovices. The territory of Aulerci Eburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are mentioned several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to him, they would have killed their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 AD and have joined the rebels and Unelles Lexovii.
