Obverse description : Tête laurée à droite, la chevelure en mèches en croissant dont les deux inférieures sont prolongées par le motif trilobé.

Reverse description : Androcéphale à droite, surmonté d’un aurige stylisé brandissant un fouet et tenant un torque ; sous le cheval, un personnage couché à droite, tenant une situle.

Commentary

Monnaie d’un type très rare. Le cheval est clairement androcéphale et l’aurige tient un torque.
Les quelques rares exemplaires de ce type avaient été vendus lors de la dispersion de collections telle celle d’A. Trampitsch chez Jean VINCHON. Cet exemplaire est en assez bon argent et de poids lourd, avec 6,25 grammes.
Coin of a very rare type. The horse is clearly androcephalic and the charioteer is holding a torque. The few rare examples of this type had been sold during the dispersal of collections such as that of A. Trampitsch at Jean VINCHON. This example is in fairly good silver and heavy, at 6.25 grams
